J A Garrett

Curiously nerdy posts.

The power of story.

Well, here it is. I’m taking the plunge.

My name is J.A. Garrett. And like a lot of people on the internet, I enjoy writing. But even moreso, I enjoy the thoughts and imagination that fuels the motivation to write. I like delving into how it makes us feel. It’s an obsession of mine to analyze and better understand my motivations for why I enjoy some stories, and why I don’t others. Why I love certain characters, and hate others, whether it’s the way the writer intended, or not.

In this blog, I’ll be digging into just about anything that can tell a story, and provide curiously long, but hopefully entertaining analysis. Sometimes I’ll be a fanboy, sometimes I’ll be snarky. But the goal is to always be honest.

But don’t be surprised to see the odd off-topic rant here and there.
